AATS Summer Intern Scholarship – Scanlan Family Scholars
The AATS Summer Intern Scholarship program was established to introduce the field of Cardiothoracic Surgery to first and second year medical students in a North American medical school and to broaden their educational experience by providing an opportunity to spend eight weeks during the summer working in a North American Cardiothoracic Surgery Department.
AWS Resident and Student Starr Research Forum Scholarship
Scanlan proudly supports the Scientific Session at the AWS Conference, which includes the AWS/American Journal of Surgery Top Paper Award (which will be awarded by Brigid) and the Starr Research Forum.
The Association of Women Surgeons is an international not-for-profit professional organization whose mission is to inspire, encourage, and enable women surgeons to realize their professional and personal goals.
Women in Thoracic Surgery (WTS) and Scanlan International, Inc. are pleased to offer a Traveling Mentorship Award for a woman medical student or general surgery resident to visit a WTS member for an elective period to gain exposure to women cardiothoracic surgeon mentors for enrichment and education. Applicants are responsible for contacting potential mentors and securing arrangements prior to submitting an application.
