SCANLAN® Instrumentation is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for ten full years. Any instrument which proves defective when used for its intended purpose will be repaired or replaced at no charge, at the sole discretion of Scanlan International, Inc. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied.
In no event shall seller be liable to buyer, or any successors of buyer, for any claim for lost opportunity, loss of goodwill, or consequential or incidental damages of any kind for any amount in excess of the price of the product. Seller agrees to replace or to issue credit at seller’s sole option any product determined to be defective in materials or workmanship. Seller shall not be responsible for the cost of labor or charges of any kind incurred due to product defect. Your rights under this warranty may vary from state to state and country to country. IMPORTANT: All SCANLAN® instruments must be returned to Scanlan International for refurbishment. Refurbishment of Scanlan instrumentation by any other resource will void the Scanlan warranty.
SCANLAN® V.I.P.™ Instrument Sterilization Trays: SCANLAN® V.I.P.™ instrument sterilization trays are warranted for 12 months against defects in material or workmanship.
SCANLAN® DIAMOND DUST™ Instrumentation: SCANLAN® DIAMOND DUST™ jaws are guaranteed for 12 months. If needed, the DIAMOND DUST™ surface will be restored at no charge during the initial 12 month period.
Needle Holders: The use of suture needles larger than those recommended may result in damage and invalidate your warranty. Please see the Scanlan website https://www.scanlaninternational.com/scanlan-products/needle-holders/ for recommendations regarding the use of suture needles with Scanlan® instrumentation.
Titanium Instrumentation: Different shades of blue may be found within the extensive line of anodized SCANLAN® titanium instrumentation. This is not a defect, but a phenomenon which occurs due to slight variations of manufacture technique or alloy composition. This is a cosmetic characteristic only and does not compromise the high quality of your SCANLAN® titanium instrumentation.
Scissors: Do not cut suture, gauze, or wire with scissors unless it was designed to cut those materials. All SCANLAN® Super Cut™ & Ultra Sharp® scissors must be returned to Scanlan International for complete refurbishment and sharpening in order to maintain the unique cutting edge.
SCANLAN® Premier™ Scissors: Sharpness of SCANLAN® Premier™ Scissors is guaranteed for 12 months. If needed, resharpening will be performed at no charge during the 12 month period.
Heifetz™ Clips, Yasargil Clips: Product in the original packaging may be returned for full credit within 60 days domestic and 90 days international of invoice date. All used product will be considered FIRM SALE. Warranted for 12 months against defects in material or workmanship.
Reliance Bulldog Clamp: Warranty for materials and workmanship will be one year. All sales are considered FIRM SALE.
