We had a very successful outreach cleft program in Trujillo, Peru last week, our 14th since 2008 in that city.
The clinical aspect of the program was coupled with a very active educational schedule including lectures, simulation training for emergency resuscitation and live surgery that was aired at multiple affiliated hospitals, all to ensure enhancement of training of our Peruvian colleagues.
79 surgical and 443 dental procedures were performed during the week coupled with nutritional and speech consults.
