Sofia is a nursing student at Riverside City College pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing while concurrently completing her BSN at California State University, San Bernardino. Her experience working as a dental assistant in endodontics first sparked her interest in surgical and procedural care. She is currently involved in a student-led research project focused on promoting mental health awareness and access to wellness resources for nursing students. Sofia hopes to pursue a career as a perioperative nurse, earn her CNOR certification, and advance her practice as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA).
