Carolyn C. Chang is a general surgery resident at Oregon Health & Science University. She is currently in her second dedicated research year at Stanford University, where her work has focused on molecular imaging and tumor localization techniques, clinical outcomes research in lung and esophageal cancer, and thoracic surgery simulation and education. Dr. Chang plans to pursue a career in thoracic oncology and aspires to be a leader in resident education. She looks forward to being mentored by Dr. Stephanie G. Worrell, Clinical Associate Professor and Interim Chief of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where she will focus on minimally invasive esophageal techniques and advanced endoscopic procedures.
