We are proud to announce Carolyn Dubeau as the 2019 recipient of the WTS Brigid Scanlan Traveling Mentorship Award.

This award allows a student or general surgery resident to work with a Woman Cardiothoracic Surgeon to gain enrichment and education through mentorship.

Carolyn Dubeau is a fourth year medical student at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, Quinnipiac University and an alumna of Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN.

She is interested in academic cardiothoracic surgery and the importance of mentorship in medicine. Carolyn will be working with Dr. Andrea J. Carpenter at the University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio.
