Scanlan® Stern Chest Tube Passer

The SCANAN®  Stern™ chest tube passer has been specifically designed to place inoperative chest tubes for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. 

 It's unique tip is tapered and the shaft is gently curved to allow easy insertion and intra pleural maneuverability.  The jaw surface has sharp teeth in a reversed pattern to prevent slippage of the catheter as it is withdrawn through the chest.   The jaw may be opened and closed smoothly and is tapered to allow a smaller entry incision.
